Care &
Maintenance

Our furniture is not just an essential part of your living spaces; it's an investment in comfort, style, and functionality. To ensure your furniture retains its allure and functionality for years to come, proper care and maintenance are crucial.

Whether you've just purchased a new set or want to extend the life of your existing pieces, this guide will provide you with valuable tips for maintaining the beauty and integrity of your furniture.

Regular cleaning is the cornerstone of furniture maintenance. Dust and dirt can accumulate over time, diminishing the aesthetic appeal of your pieces. Here are some general cleaning tips:

Wooden Furniture Care:

Wooden furniture adds a timeless charm to any space, but it requires specific care to maintain its aesthetic appeal:

  1. Dusting: Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a gentle duster to remove dust from surfaces. For intricate details, consider a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Please be careful during this process and be very gentle as the paintwork on our products can be easily be scratched. Always ensure that a soft brush / duster is used.
  2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: When cleaning our wood products, we recommend using a damp cloth, please do not use furniture polish on any of our products as it will damage the paintwork
  3. Stain Prevention: Treat spills promptly using a clean, absorbent cloth. We recommend using coasters, table cloths and place mats when consuming any food products on our furniture pieces.
  4. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can fade wood finishes. Position furniture away from direct sunlight or use window treatments to filter UV rays, when placing furniture pieces in areas where there is sunlight.
  5. Humidity Control: Wood is sensitive to changes in humidity. Maintain a consistent humidity level to prevent warping or cracking. Consider using a humidifier or dehumidifier as needed. Please keep mist fans away for furniture pieces as these fans can damage your furniture item.
  6. Polishing: We do not recommend using any furniture polish on our products as it will damage the paintwork.

Upholstery Care:

If your furniture features upholstery, special attention is required to maintain its appearance and comfort:

  1. Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum upholstery regularly to remove crumbs, dirt, and pet hair. Use a soft brush attachment to avoid damaging the fabric.
  2. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can damage fabric. Position furniture away from direct sunlight or use window treatments to filter UV rays, when placing furniture pieces in areas where there is sunlight.
  3. Chemicals: In cases where it is necessary to remove a stubborn stain, avoid harsh chemicals. When cleaning, opt for mild, non-abrasive cleaners suitable for your furniture's material. Harsh chemicals can damage fabrics. Always test a small, inconspicuous area before applying any cleaner.

Remember that investing in quality furniture is a commitment to comfort and style, and with proper care, you can protect and preserve that investment. By incorporating these care and maintenance practices into your routine, you will not only extend the life of your furniture but also continue to enjoy the beauty and functionality it brings to your home.
